    – Code of Civil Procedure, Indian Contract Act, Partnership Act, Sales of Goods Act, Specific Relief Act, Indian Evidence Act, Punjab Courts Act, Haryana Urban (Control of Rent & Eviction) Act
  2. PAPER II (CIVIL LAW I)- 200 Marks
    – Hindu Law, Mohammedan Law (Including the customary law), Law of Registration, Law of Limitation
  3. PAPER III (CRIMINAL LAW)- 200 Marks
    – Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Evidence Act
  4. PAPER IV (ENGLISH) – 200 Marks
    – Essay (100 marks), Precis Writing (25 marks), Comprehension (25 marks), Corrections (25 marks), Words and Phrases – Sentence Making (25 Marks)
  5. PAPER IV (LANGUAGE) – 100 Marks
    – Translation of English passage into Hindi (20 marks), Hindi prose and poetry (30 marks), Essay, Idioms & Corrections (50 marks)

VIVA-VOICE: 200 Marks
Minimum marks required – 50% (General); 45% (Reserved) in aggregate of the marks secured in the main examination and viva-voice for selection as Civil Judge/Judicial Magistrate
